FAQs
Rejuvenail is suitable for use for mild to moderate fungal nail infection located on the nail bed. Rejuvenail treatment alone is not suitable for severe nail infections involving the lunula (the lunula is the crescent-shaped area at the base of the nail). In this case you should talk to your healthcare professional.
Treatment should continue until a healthy nail has regrown. This usually takes about 6 months for the fingernails and about 9 to 12 months for the toenails. Fungal nail infections are hard to treat and a full cure depends on several factors, including how badly damaged the nail is. While Rejuvenail can treat the fungal nail infection it cannot repair the damage, therefore a full cure can be expected in up to 30% of people. It is important to continue treatment until nails are clear otherwise the condition can get worse again. You should consult your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 6 months for fingernails and 12 months for toenails.
- Before applying Rejuvenail anti-fungal nail lacquer, ensure that the nail polish is removed. Then wash and dry the infected nail.Application in the evening before going to bed is recommended.
- Apply a thin layer over the entire infected nail surface and 5mm of surrounding skin and if possible under the free edge of the nail.
- Allow to dry for at least 30 seconds.
- Leave on the nail for at least 6 hours overnight and simply wash off with water in the morning.Do not apply nail polish or other nail medication on the nails being treated.
For best results, Rejuvenail should be used every day for at least 6 to 12 months. The affected nail should be trimmed at weekly intervals. Treatment should be continued until the infected nails are clear and healthy. This usually takes about 6 months for fingernails and about 9 to 12 months for toenails.
You do not have to file or soak the nail(s) before applying Rejuvenail. Simply brush Rejuvenail on to the nail, allow the lacquer to dry (30 seconds) and leave on the nail(s) for 6 hours overnight.
